The BRSO’s recital format is as colourful, diverse and unconventional as the grounds of its future new concert hall.

In early May 2020 the orchestra’s concertmaster, Anton Barakhovsky, launched the series by playing Bach’s Chaconne to an empty chair – a symbol of Munich’s cultural landscape, devasted at the time by the covid virus. Despite all the limitations imposed by the pandemic, the chamber music series proceeds apace. Members of the BRSO will continue to appear at various spots in the Werksviertel-Mitte district in order to deepen their roots in their future musical home – and to explore and enliven the area for their audience, ever-curious about the recital formats.
