INFORMATION ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Following upon Das Rheingold and Die Walküre, the BRSO’s designated principal conductor, Sir Simon Rattle, will now take on Siegfried, which the orchestra and singers will then present in follow-up concerts in Hamburg and Luxembourg. Once again the hearts of Wagner fans can leap for joy at the stellar cast, the best in the business. The concert performance of Wagner’s Ring tetralogy (the first two works have already been released on the BR label) will now continue with Siegfried’s heroic exploits. It is a must for opera lovers, who can yield completely to the overwhelming music in this concert reading.
