Isarphilharmonie at the Gasteig Hp8

Let’s move together!

In autumn 2021, the Gasteig is moving into its interim home, where it will become the Gasteig HP8. During the renovation of the cultural center in Haidhausen, BRSO concerts will also take place in the new Isarphilharmonie at Hans-Preißinger-Strasse 4-8 (HP8) in Sendling.

The new concert hall at Gasteig HP8, the Isarphilharmonie, seats around 1,900 and was built according to plans by architects Gerkan, Marg and Partners (gmp) using a modular timber construction. The acoustic design was implemented by the renowned Japanese sound designer Yasuhisa Toyota.

Gasteig HP8 is located at Hans-Preißinger-Str. 4-8, next to Heizkraftwerk Süd. It is only a seven-minute ride from Marienplatz to the Brudermühlstraße stop (U3), plus about a five-minute walk. From the Brudermühlstraße and Candidplatz stops (U1), you can reach the Gasteig HP8 with bus line 54.

By car, you can find parking close to the Mittlerer Ring at the neighbouring flower market and then take the shuttle service to the concert hall. There will be 14 handicapped parking spaces on the HP8 site.

The two subscription series A and S will take place in the new Isarphilharmonie from January 2022. Until then, however, you can already get to know the hall in the four special concert programmes with Jakub Hrůša (October 28/29, 2021), Simon Rattle (November 22, 2021 and November 26/27, 2021) and Manfred Honneck (December 16/17/18, 2021).

Let’s move together – we look forward to shared concert experiences at the Isarphilharmonie!
