Discover the new season’s programme!
It is with great pleasure that we would like to draw your attention today to the concerts of the 2021/2022 season. Whether at the Hofgarten or on the banks of the Isar River – we have once again engaged top-class artists for each concert. Conductors who have been closely associated with the orchestra for years, such as Franz Welser-Möst, Herbert Blomstedt, Daniel Harding or Sir John Eliot Gardiner but also artists who are conducting with us for the first time, such as Joana Mallwitz, General Music Director at the Nuremberg State Theater, or Philippe Jordan, music director of the Vienna State Opera. Of course, our designated principal conductor, Sir Simon Rattle, will also be there. Bach’s St. Matthew Passion and Mahler’s 9th Symphony under his baton will certainly be among the highlights of the coming season.
We hope that both the varied programme and the selection of internationally renowned artists will whet your appetite for the coming season. We are very much looking forward to spending wonderful concert evenings with you!

New venue: Isarphilharmonie
In autumn 2021, the Gasteig is moving into its interim home, where it will become the Isarphilharmonie. During the renovation of the cultural center in Haidhausen, BRSO concerts will also take place in the new Isarphilharmonie at Hans-Preißinger-Strasse 4-8 (HP8) in Sendling. Let’s move together – we look forward to shared concert experiences at the Isarphilharmonie!
