INSTANT COMPOSITIONS
Compose a solo piece for a musician from the BRSO, develop it in creative interaction with that same musician and make a professional recording of the piece for radio and the internet: these are the prizes awaiting ten prize-winners of the Young Bavarian Composers Competition. Together with “their” musicians, they explore the technical and acoustic potential of a single instrument, either by zoom (in keeping with the covid pandemic) or, if possible, in personal contact. The resultant miniature solo piece is then recorded by the BRSO’s supervising composers. The project is accompanied and documented in radio and on line by Sweet Spot, Bavarian Radio’s classical music magazine for young people.
