The Bavarian RSO’s musicians are not only first-rate team players but excellent soloists. To display their gifts to the audience outside the normal season, Mariss Jansons has compiled two programmes consisting entirely of concertos. This is the third such programme. The special thing about these concertos is that they showcase musicians whose instruments otherwise tend to be side-lined. When do we hear a concerto for tuba, or for double bass? One nice tradition of the series is that it also features double concertos for two soloists and such rare items as Ernest Chausson’s enchanting Poème for violin and orchestra.

Please note: The BRSO Soloists’ Concert on April 5 2020, that should have taken place under the direction of Mariss Jansons, will be bookable in a separate pre-sale. We will inform you on our website and at BRticket asap.
