BRSO on tour in autumn 2019
Vienna, Hamburg, Paris, Cologne, Antwerp, Luxembourg, Essen and finally the Carnegie Hall in New York! The BRSO and maestro Mariss Jansons will be on tour from 27. October 2019 to 9. November 2019.
Two extraordinary soloists will be joining the orchestra: Diana Damrau will be singing Richard Strauss’ “Vier letzte Lieder” and Rudolf Buchbinder will be playing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No 23 and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 2.
Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No 4, Carl Maria von Weber’s Overture to “Euryanthe”, Richard Strauss’ Intermezzo and Dmitri Schostakovitch’s Symphony No 10 will be featured on the tour as well.
Due to health reasons Mariss Jansons has to withdraw from the concerts on November 3rd, 4th and 5th in Antwerp, Luxemburg and Essen. We are very pleased that Daniel Harding will step in.
