Mariss Jansons Videos
Mariss Jansons rehearsing Shostakovich 7
“You realize, that he has a strong grasp of the music’s spirit”, concertmaster Radoslaw Szulc says about Mariss Jansons, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra’s chief conductor. Watching him at a rehearsal is quite the experience.
Photo shoot on the roof
We took a look (and a picture) at the location of our new concert hall. After a rehearsal we got together on the roof of the old ‘Werk 2’ to take a group picture of the entire orchestra. ‘Werk 2’ is the location where our new concert hall will be built. What a great and windy experience! A team of structural engineers, photographers, security personnel and many more made this photo shoot possible. Pictures were taken from three different positions – for example from a crane at a height of 50 meters, from a house and from two drones.

A flip-book as a birthday present
The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra gave its chief conductor Mariss Jansons a very special birthday present this year: a flip-book titled “The Conductor”, showing Jansons at work. This making-of shows you how much effort and passion for detail went into it.
