Please note:
Regrettably, Sir John Eliot Gardiner will not be able to conduct the concerts of the Bavarian Radio Chorus and Symphony Orchestra on 17 and 18 June 2021 in the Philharmonie im Gasteig as originally planned, due to quarantine restrictions on all travelers entering Germany from Great Britain who are not members of national football teams. We are grateful to Aziz Shokhakimov for agreeing to conduct the concerts on such short notice. The 33-year-old Uzbek, Chief Conductor designate of the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg and Kapellmeister at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, will make his debut with the choir and symphony orchestra. Please note that the change in conductor has also necessitated a program change.
