BUY YOUR TICKETS FOR CONCERTS THIS AUTUMN and Winter NOW

Our orchestra’s versatile 2017/2018 season starts off at the end of September, with conductors Esa-Pekka Salonen und Dima Slobodeniouk focusing on Sibelius and some of his greatest symphonies. Also, the autumn will see chief conductor Mariss Jansons return to Munich to conduct major symphonic works such as Bruckner’s monumental Symphony No 8, Prokofiev’s Symphony No 5 and, not to be missed by opera lovers, the highly original “Carmen Fantasy” by Rodion Schtschedrin.

Other highlights include Daniel Harding’s account of Bruckner’s famous “Fourth” – eagerly anticipated after Harding’s major success conducting Bruckner’s No 5 a few years ago. A stellar line-up of other guest conductors will lead amazing and stunning concerts. Piano afficionados will be in for some treats with Yefim Bronfman, Leif Ove Andsnes and Daniel Barenboim who are all coming to Munich to join up with us.

And finally, following his great success at our recent Odeonsplatz open air concert (stepping in for the injured Lang Lang), we are happy to announce that you can already book tickets for percussionist Martin Grubinger’s return performance in February 2018.

Get your ticket for the BR-Symphonieorchester.
