Hannes Läubin

Trumpets

Hannes Läubin got his first trumpet lessons at the age of nine from his father. He won three first prizes at the national “Jugend musiziert” competition as well as a second prize at the “Concertino Praga”.

From 1971 to 1976 he was a member of the National Youth Orchestra as well as a junior student of Robert Bodenröder at the Freiburg Music Academy. At the age of 18 he took a position as third trumpeter in the NDR Symphony Orchestra, where he was pronounced principal trumpeter two years later. After 16 years of orchestral work he became a professor at the Music Academy of Stuttgart, followed by an appointment to the Munich Academy in 1996.

Beyond this, Hannes Läubin has played as a regular guest player in the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks since 1995. Hannes Läubin can also be heard at such international festivals as the one in Schleswig-Holstein, the Bach Academy in Venezuela and the Oregon Bach Festival. Along with the Gächinger Kantorei under Helmuth Riling and the Windsbach Boys’ Choir under Karl-Friedrich Beringer, as well as with his two trumpet-playing brothers, he has released a number of CD recordings.
