This CD, which was released in the Strauss-year 2014, highlights to central genres in Richard Strauss' oeuvres: the "Alpensinfonie", finished 1915 as the last and greatest tone poem Strauss composed, and the four symphonic Intermezzos from the Opera "Intermezzo", which was premiered 1924 in Dresden.
